Day 3

Day 3- My first love(s).

I have two first loves. Of course, they are two totally different types of love, but still my first 2.

Chad- Of course, I thought I loved boyfriends in high school and college.. but you know when you find that one "true" love. I can definitely say I am married to him today.

Greyson- Every mother knows you can't love anyone like you do your own child.

Day 2

Day 2- My Blog name's meaning

Well, the name of our blog is pretty self explanitory- Life with the Kyles- I post about our life together. I started this blog mainly to keep our family in Texas up to date with Greyson and what's he's doing. :)

Day 1

This is me. Cortni Paige (Holder) Kyle. I have been married to Chad Kyle for 5 1/2 years. We have a precious, 2 year old son, Greyson Holder Kyle. I am a 1st grade teacher at Kosciusko Lower Elementary. I love teaching and love my students!
I was born in Houston, Texas. I was raised in Mexia, Texas. I went to school there from K-12. I was a twirler in high school and LOVED IT!! I loved it so much, that I taught lessons after school everyday, even while in college. After I graduated, I went to McLennan Community College and Navarro College at the same time. :) I moved to Kosciusko, MS with my parents when I was 19. I met Chad while working for his parents at Craft Cleaners. We started dating, and the rest is history! I went to Holmes Community College for 2 semesters, then transferred to Mississippi State University! GO DAWGS! I majored in, of course, Elementary Education. :)
Chad and I got married in May 2005..we got married at the El Matador Resort in Ft. Walton, Fl.

15 interesting facts about me are:

1. I LOVE my family.

Tacky Christmas at Hollee's

You know we look good.

Gingerbread Train-Wreck

So, this year, since Greyson is into trains, I thought it would be cute to decorate a train instead of a house... I defintely learned my lesson.. the train was a disaster... if it looks slanted in the picture..that's because it is. Oh well, Greyson had fun and that's all that matters... But, rest assured, I will be buying a gingerbread HOUSE next year.

A little deeper than normal.

As I was just checking my friends blogs and of course facebook for the day, I came upon a Caring Bridge site for a little girl named Layne. Layne was born with Trisomy 18. They didn't know if she would live after being born- and if she did live, they didn't know how long they would have her. She was not still born and they got to take her home. She went to be with her Father in Heaven after 36 days with her earthly family. As I was reading her journal, I realized that I need to slow down and not take every day for granted. Be there, in the moment. Sometimes it's hard to do, especially with a 2 year old that is everywhere! It's so easy to get into a routine and loose track of our main focus. So many different events these last months have had my mind racing... friends that are struggling after losing a baby, families that are mourning after suddenly losing a family member. It's so hard to comprehend why horrible things happen, especially to precious people. I constantly refer to Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God." That's all we can do, especially in times like these. He is the only One that can get you through it.
This Christmas, Be still and know that He is God.

Canton with Our Family

After picking up Mom at the airport, we went to Canton. Greyson LOVED the lights!!!
One of my favorite traditions.

Mom comes!!!

Saturday, we went to the airport to get Mom.. (my grandmother from TX) Greyson had a big time watching the planes!!

When Greyson saw Mom, he ran to her and hugged her for literally about 3 minutes.. can you tell he loves her?

Precious, precious.

Yogi Bear

Chad and I took Greyson to see Yogi Bear Friday night. He kept saying, "That's a biiiiiiiig TV!!!"
