What a fantastic holiday weekend!!! We spent it with family and friends. We had a blast!!! Sunday, we went to the country club.. We tubed, skiied, swam, and layed out! Then we ate dinner and shot fireworks! Monday we spent time with family. Then Monday night we went to Madison to eat and see fireworks !!

This weekend we went to the NAJA Conference in Memphis. Of course, we had a blast... I wouldn't expect any different because of who I went with. :) We learned a lot about Junior Auxiliary. I was so proud to be in an organization that did such good things for so many people. The stories we heard were unbelievable. We had amazing speakers like Sam Haskell (if you don't know who he is, google him) and Barbie Bassett! We also got to slip in some shopping and eating out! Here are a few pictures of our trip... I love to read. However, it normally takes me a while to finish a book because of wifely and motherly duties...(which I wouldn't have any other way)... My friend, Corrie, came into my classroom on Friday, telling me about this book she read.. she was very emotional while trying to explain what the book was about. The book is called 23 Minutes in Hell. I took it and I finished reading it this weekend.. Whoa. If you are doubting, or on the fence about your Christianity... or your relationship with God all together, you need to read this book. I knew Hell was bad.. I knew you suffered in Hell.. but this book puts a whole other perspective on it. It will scare you. It actually scared me so bad that I slept between Chad and Greyson Saturday night. Okay- so I've been working on this blog post for about 3 days now.. I would upload some pictures, then get busy.... upload some pictures, then get busy.... it's a never ending cycle!!! You would think it was a big post... well, it's not. ANYWHO- Greyson, Chad, and I went to see Disney Live! Mickey Mouse Magic Show last Sunday. It was the cutest/coolest show!! They did REAL ACTUAL magic! ...sawing people in half, floating in air...it was great! Greyson LOVED it! He would shout, "ABRACADABRA!!!!" everytime they told him to.. I'm so glad we took him to see it! After the show, we met the Landrum's at Red Lobster. It was a lot of fun! Can't wait to do it again!

Sunday was very nice. We went to church, ate lunch, took naps, then went to the Country Club. We are loving this beautiful weather. After a little fishing, we ended the day by going to Erin and John Reuben's to grill out for supper. What a perfect Sunday.

We took our annual Spring Break trip to Houston to see my grandmother (Mom). We had a BLAST!!! We stayed on the go the whole time!!! We had to come home to rest!!!! As I've said before, it's one of my favorite places in this world. (First favorite- being home with Chad and Greyson, of course) I will warn you, there are a lot of pictures.... :)

On the way to Mom's we stayed in Lufkin a night. We got to eat at Ralph and Kacoos and visit with our friends, John, Charlotte, Rebecca, Jacey, and Sealy! We had a great time. We miss them so much!

While we were there, we went to The Rainforest Cafe. If you have never been to one, go and go soon!!!! It's so much fun.. Greyson didn't cooperate on pictures because there was waaaay to much to look at! Every 15 or so minutes there is a thunderstorm and the lights go down and the animals go crazy!!! Greyson wasn't too sure about that part. He's still talking about The Rainforest Cafe to this day!!!!!

On Thursday, I had lunch with a high school friend, Jennifer Rorick. It was so good to see her. It's been 10 years! Way to long! I also met her sweet little boy, Landon. It was great catching up! We have our 10 year class reunion in September. Wow! Where did the last 10 years go?

After lunch, we went to Mom's new Kroger. THESE WERE THEIR SHOPPING CARTS.

Yes, people, there's a television screen inside. The parent picks the show.. They can either watch Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or Special Agent Oso.

Needless to say, there was a fit thrown by a certain someone when it was time to go.Puddin.

For my birthday, Chad took me to see my favorite... Rascal Flatts!!! We left Kosy early so we could go visit my bestie, Melissa in Tupelo. It was great to see her and Ms. Donna! We miss you two!!!!
After our nice visit, we headed to Newks then to the CONCERT!!! Chris Young and Luke Bryan opened for them. They were awesome! Rascal Flatts were, as always, FANTASTIC!!! We were literally in the BancorpSouth Arena for 4 1/2 hours!!! They put on a show! Thank you, Chad. What an awesome birthday present!!!!!! I love you!

Day 19- Something I miss.

I miss Waco, Texas... as I said in Day 1- I am from Mexia, Texas.. Waco, like Jackson, was the closest place we could do some 'good' shopping. I grew up going to Waco practically every weekend and went to college there for a year. McLennan Community College. GO HIGHLANDERS! Every summer we say we are going to go to Waco just to visit our old 'stompin grounds'- as my mom says. Maybe we'll go this summer.

Day 18- Something you regret.
That's an easy one.
When my Pop was dying of cancer in summer of '04, there were a lot of things I wanted to tell him. Especially that last time I knew I was going to see him. He meant, well means, a lot to me. There is no other like him. He was my Pop. We had a special bond. I wanted to tell him how much I loved him, how much he meant to me, that I would miss him... but I didn't. I gave him a hug and a kiss and that was all. He told me to help take care of things. I said I would.

I know that he knew.. I didn't say it because I didn't want to remind of him the inevitable. Even though I know that's probably all he thought about. A week later he died. Even typing this post makes my heart sink. I am truly sorry for not saying what I wanted to say. Mainly for me. There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss him.

Greyson got a new pet last night. He got a Blue Beta Fish. He loves it! We got him all fixed up with a blue fish, blue gravel, blue plants, and a blue light.. I thought it would be cute if we named him, what else, Blue. Nope. Then I thought, okay- What about Bubbles? Nope.

His name is Mr. Fishy. :)

This is an easy one- February 5th, Chad is taking me to see RASCAL FLATTS!!! WHOO HOOOOOO!! My birthday is February 11th, so it worked out that he could take me to see them for my birthday!! I can't wait. They are awesome!!!!!! I'll be the one dancing and singing the loudest. No really.

Day 13: My Goals

Well, I have a lot of goals.. it depends what type of "goal' we're talking about... lifelong goals, goals for the year, goals for the week...

My lifelong goals-
1. Be the best mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, and friend that I can be.
2. Be a witness.
3. Live life to the fullest.
4. Don't take one day for granted.
5. Enjoy the little things.
6. Don't sweat the small stuff.

1. Get back into shape!

Day 12- What I believe.

I believe...

1. That God is our Savior, our Father, Friend, Redeemer, and Comforter. He is the ONLY way.
2. Jesus Christ is God's son, who was sent on this earth to die for our sins.
3. My sister, Kara, and my Pop are waiting to see me in Heaven... it will be SUCH a reunion!
4. Your family should ALWAYS come first. Always.
5. Love is all that matters.
6. Having a child is the greatest, most joyful experiences a person can ever have.
7. Good friends are hard to come by.. so when you find them, hold on to them.

On a lighter note:
8. Republicans are better.
9. Coke is better than Pepsi.
10. Dogs are better than cats...but if you have mice, that's a different situation... (see Day 10

Christmas was sooo much fun this year!! Greyson LOVED Christmas and everything about it!

Greyson got a trampoline from Mimi and Pops!

Christmas Eve, Greyson threw out his Reindeer food so that they could find our house. :)

Christmas Eve at Mimi and Pops was so much fun!! We couldn't see out of the back of the Tahoe on the way home.. it was packed FULL.

Greyson got a Doctor's kit and doctor scrubs that say "Dr. Kyle."

Mom got him an easel. He loves it!

Christmas morning, Santa came!!!

Then, we went to BB ant T's for Christmas! Greyson and Skyler played and played.. They were exhausted!!!

Day 11: My favorite tv shows

I LOVE tv!!! I don't get to watch it much anymore..normally I am watching Nick Jr with Greyson. However, there are some shows I take the time to watch....

1) Desperate Housewives (I LOVE their drama, but very thankful I don't have it in my life!)

2)Dancing with the Stars.. I would definitely do this! But unfortunately, they do not have Dancing with a 1st Grade Teacher...when they do, I'm there.

3)Friends reruns..Chad doesn't understand why I like to watch these.. he always asks, "Why would you watch something if you've watched it so many times you know what they're going to say next?!?!" I do understand his point, but there's just something about my old "Friends"..
